A little info about me..
  • I work for Dell in the Advanced Systems Group focusing on Enterprise solutions around storage, servers, virtualization and networking.
  • I am also entrepreneurial by nature. I have the itch…
  • I founded the official Ubuntu Linux Forums in October of 2004. Since then its grown to be one of the largest Linux forums on the Internet. In June 2007 I transferred ownership to Canonical.
  • I’m interested in Apple/OSX, Linux, Storage (Dell Equallogic/NetAPP/EMC), PHP, Virtualization, VMware, OpenVZ, Xen, Hiking, Running and coffee.
  • I co-authorerd a book on Virtualization/VMware called VMware Cookbook for O’Reilly, which was released on 11/2/2009. The second edition of this book focused on ESXi 5.x will be released June 2012.
  • I’m certified in both Microsoft Hyper-V and VMware.
  • I’ve been married since October 2003 to my lovely wife.
  • My wife and I have 2 dogs (Jackson and Cheyenne) and 2 cats (Archie and “Spare Cat”).
  • I’ve trained and finished a marathon in 2008. I finished in 5 hours and 27 minutes.
  • I started a successful ISP in 2001 which employed over 10+ people and 25,000 customers across the US.
  • I started a web hosting company which I sold in 2010. It had over 1,000 customer globally within the first year.
  • I’ve taught college classes on Linux, Networking and Hardware Repair at a community college in Colorado.
  • I am a quite person, get to know me and I’ll open up..
