His facial expression is priceless!

Every spring we get our long-hair orange persian cat shaved because his fur gets so long and matted. This year he is really disguested with the fact his hair is gone :)

I’m sure he secretly wants to kill you for that. You have a persian cat, get a brush and learn to love it.

Yeah, in theory that is a great idea until you try to do it. He hates it and runs and hides. We’ve been down that road and it just doesn’t work for him or us.

I’ve got a rag doll cat. He is a beaut, totally mad and crazy – plays all the time and is quite a hunter! Thing is, he’s got a gorgeous long coat, but no undercoat, so no matting, and feels like cashmere. I brush him because he likes it, not because he needs it. All rag dolls are housecats though, because they’re too friendly to be allowed to wander outside.
Whatever your cat looks like, I’m sure you love him and that’s all that matters.

I feel bad for him though.

haha, he does not look happy. I feel a little sorry for him too, but such are the consequences of domestication. He’ll probably be more comfortable in the long run.

Aw, man, this really makes me miss having kittens. Damn allergies.
